Four Undefeated Teams Dominate League Standings

Four undefeated House teams face two final weeks of competition before soccer and football champions will be chosen.

Leverett leads in tackle football with a record of five wins and no losses or ties. The Bunnies are expected to get by Kirkland (2-1-2) and Winthrop (3-1-1) without too much trouble and preserve their perfect string.

Dunster is close behind should the Bunnies falter, with a record of 4-1-0. The one loss was to Leverett, however.

In soccer Leverett also heads the standings, but Lowell is too close for complacency. The Bunnies have won four and tied one, while Lowell has won three and tied the same number. Unless they tie, one of these teams will lose its unbeaten record when they meet tomorrow.

Winthrop tops the touch football league with a perfect 5-0-0 record. A postponed game with Adams (3-2-0) and a scheduled contest with winless Leverett (0-4-1) are on the Puritan schedule. Dunster (4-1-0) is the closest contender.

All House teams travel to New Haven Friday, Nov. 20. The teams in the Crimson league are paired off with their respective equals in inter-college ball at Yale.

Houses will have their last opportunity to pick up Straus Trophy points this fall in the cross country meet, which has been postponed to Nov. 19. The number of entrants from a House is unlimited, but only the first five to finish on a team will count. There will be no cross country meet with Yale.

Dunster, winner of the Straus Trophy last year, ranks second this fall in tackle and touch football and third in soccer. This means that the Funsters actually will be 20 points ahead of the Bunnies, if League standings remain as they now are.
