Ramstrung by a University ruling that prohibits deferred payment through the term bill, the Combined Charities ended a disappointing drive last Friday, $6,000 short of its $18,000 goal.
Robert C. Terry, Jr. '54. Co Chairman of the charity drive, admitted that he was "sorely disappointed" at the failure of students to meet a quota already lowered by $4,000. "I guess it shows that students find it easier to bill their parents for their donations," he said.
