Bolles Adds Brandeis To 1953-54 Basketball Schedule for Varsity

Brandeis University will play the varsity basketball team for the first time Dec. 13, Athletic Director Thomas D. Bolles announced last night. The Crimson schedule includes 14 games at home, eight away, and the Christmas holiday tournament at Dartmouth.

Varsity coach Norm Shepard, starting his fifth year, and freshman coach Floyd Wilson will begin pre-season drills on Monday.

Boston University will open the season here Dec. 5. Ivy League competition starts Dec. 12, when the varsity will play at Brown. Besides the 12 Ivy games, the Crimson plays Boston University, Wesleyan, Tufts, Northeastern, Brandeis, Amberst, Navy, Boston College, and Pennsylvania.

The seven other teams in the three day vacation tourney will be Amherst, Brown, Colby, Connecticut, Dartmouth, Middlebury, and Springfield.
