Two starters will definitely he out of the Crimson lineup against Dartmouth Saturday, Coach Lloyd Jordan announced yesterday after a short football workout.
Wingback Bob Cowles, who suffered a shoulder injury early in the Columbia game, will not be able to play, Jordan said. End Harvey Popell is still under observation in Stillman Infirmary, and will also be out.
Popell's loss leaves only one experienced end, place kicker Joe Ross, to team with Bill Weber Saturday. Three backs have been alternating at Cowles' wingback post, however. Fullback Brian Reynolds shifted in scrimmage yesterday, and Dexter Lewis and Frank White have also alternated at the post.
