Dean Academy defeated Norm Shepard's Jayvees 19 to 6 yesterday afternoon at Franklin, Mass.
The Crimson scored, first, but could not hold off the powerful Dean offense. Dick Oehmler scored the lone Jayvee touchdown midway in the second quarter on an end run that covered 15 yards. The buck attempt for the point after was stopped.
After the kickoff, Dean quickly went into the lead, scoring after a sustained drive. At half-time the score was 7 to 6 in favor of Dean.
Another Dean score in the third quarter made the score 13 to 6, which should have been the final score. The Crimson gave Dean a gift touchdown in the last 10 seconds when an alert Dean safetyman intercepted a desperate Crimson pass on Harvard's 15 and ran over untouched.
