In the American League, Stoughton defeated Thayer Middle 15-6 and Mower defeated Apley 30-6.
In Northern League play, Matthews North defeated Straus North 18-12, and Holworthy defeated Thayer North by default when Thayer could not field a six man team.
Weld South and Matthews South fought to a 7-7 tie and Grays forfeited to Thayer South in the Southern League.
Scheduled at 2:15 today are Massachusetts vs. Dudley, Wigglesworth West vs. Lionel, and Weld North vs. Holworthy.
At 3:15 today Thayer North meets Straus North, Straus South meets Grays, and Thayer South meets Weld South.
Mower Hall won the freshman touch football championship last year by topping Matthews South, champion of the National League, 20 to 13 in a playoff game. Mower was the American League champion and was undefeated and untied.
