Cheerleader Levinson Hurts Ankle, Sidelined for Season

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity cheering team--which without benefit of spring practice, has been plagued by injuries--has definitely lost a fine sophomore letterman for the season.

Dick Levinson become the major casualty in the varsity's win over Colgate, suffering a broken ankle during a cheer. Medical authorities said last night that the high stepping sophomore will definitely be out for the season.

The other injuries were minor. Cheering captain Larry Cohen suffered a black eye when his megaphone, tossed into the air when Clasby passed for a touchdown, came down on his eyes.

And junior Dick Waldron, considered by Boston sportswriters to be one of the most promising prospects in Harvard history, has been sidelined with a strained muscle and a bad cold.
