C. M. Waldo Dies; Research Leader At Dental School

Dr. Charles M. Waldo, associate professor of Orthodontics at the School of Dental Medicine, died Thursday at his home in Wellesley. He was 46.

Dr. Waldo, a graduate of the University of Michigan, joined the dental school faculty in 1941. He played a prominent part in the post-war reorganization of the dental school which placed new emphasis on the role of basic scientific research in chemistry.

Waldo's own research was concerned chiefly with the effect of hormones and other factors in the growth and development of bone structure.

The late doctor was a member of several professional associations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the International Association for Dental Research.
