A top-flight field of New England's best weight men will take part in the NEAAU shot put and weight throw championships is Briggs Cage tomorrow afternoon. Both college and club competitors in this area will take part.

Meanwhile, in tomorrow night's BAA Games at the Boston Garden, Allen Howe and Arthur Wills will enter in New England college cup races.

Wills, the freshman cross country and track captain, will participate in the Bill Bingham 880, which is named in honor of the former Crimson Athletic Director. A former Thayer Academy track captain, Wills is undefeated in freshman track and cross country competition this year. Usually entered in distance events, he will be making his first start at a distance below the mile.

Boston scribes favor Boston University's middle distance star Billy Smith is the event.

As entrant in the Jack Ryder 440, sophomore Howe is Coach Bill McCurdy's choice to win the event. The former freshman track captain has been clocked in 50 seconds flat in the cage, and is in top form for his toughest test to date. Howe is the son of a one time national sprint champion from Colby, and his brothers Irvin, Jr., Ted, and teammate Arnold, are also trackmen.
