Laurence S. Cohen '54, of New York City and Kirkland House, has been elected head cheerleader for next year. Cohen predicted yesterday that there will be "several innovations" in the cheerleading routine and system.

Cohen, who succeeds William L. Soule '53 as head cheerleader, has served as a Harvard cheerleader for the past two years. Prior to his entrance here, he gained experience in cheerleading at Midwood High School in Brooklyn.

Cohen urged that many undergraduates respond to a call for new members which the cheerleaders will make during the next term.
