Charlie Ufford '53 will receive national recognition for his soccer talents this Saturday when the National Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association nominates him to their All-American squad. He captained the 1952 soccer team, after playing three years on the varsity.
Due to exams, he will not accept the award in person. Bruce Munro, varsity coach, will travel to New York to receive it for him.
Last fall Ufford was picked right fullback on the All-New England soccer team. He played in the annual North-South soccer match a year ago, and was on the Olympic soccer try-out squad.
