The University of Pennsylvania, long an advocate of live telecasts of college football games, yesterday asked permission from the National Collegiate Athletic Association to televise its game with Notre Dame, at Franklin Field on Saturday.

Penn also offered to denote receipts from the telecast--which is soldout--"to established charities of a broad interfaith nature," if the NCAA should so decide.
