Who will be Miss Radcliffe 1956? From one of these six Annex lovelies, judges drawn from the world of fashion and college life will pick the fortunate femme who will carry the class crown for her four years in school.
A crown is not all she'll carry; gifts donated by Square and Boston merchants, modeling opportunities, and more dates than she can shake a lipstick at will be hers. The five runners-up will share in the prizes and publicity.
Final judging will take place Saturday night, during the intermission of the season's first football dance in Leverett House at 10:30 p.m. These six ladies were chosen from a field of over two dozen, the largest competition in the history of the contest.
This year marks the first time in recent years that the Annex freshman queen has not been chosen by a board of CRIMSON editors at one of the acquaintance dances. Last year's Miss Radcliffe Linda Bartlett '55, was chosen from a field of five such girls at such a mixer.
