Holmes Phones Arrive Today, Resident Says; Girls Like New Dorm

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Telephones will be installed at Holmes Hall for the previously unavailable 108 residents today, Mrs. Hedy Schumacher, head resident, said last night. Living room furniture is expected to arrive within the next week, she added.

Comments on life in Radcliffe's newest dormitory are mostly favorable, according to an informal poll yesterday. "There is nothing this place does not have!", Lois Williams '53, temporary hall president, said last night.

Buzzers and wires for each room are a new item in Holmes Hall. This will make receiving calls easier, if not pleasanter, than in other dorms, where girls must go to one central phone on each floor to communicate with the bell desk.
