Hassler, Busy School Professor, Will Direct Ass'n of Accountants

Russel B. Hassler, professor of Accounting at the Business School, was recently elected President of the American Accounting Association.

Hassler has been a member of the Harvard faculty since 1946.

The organization's objectives are to encourage and sponsor research in accounting and to promote studies of accounting as an agency of control of business enterprise and of economic affairs in general.

Hassler is also a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the National Associates of Cost Accountants.
