A one term exchange with the Sorbonne will bring Professor Eduoard Perroy to the University to teach French history this fall. The other end of the swap will send Harry T. Levin '33, Professor of English, to Paris.
Levin's course in Shakespeare will be taken over this year by a new Shakespearean authority, Professor Alfred B. Harbage, late of Columbia University.
A personnel consultant with a shoe manufacturing concern will be teaching the courses in Trade Unions and collective bargaining this year. He is Edward R. Livernash, visiting lecturer in Economics, who obtained his doctor's degree here and then taught at M.I.T.
Randall Thompson '20, professor of Music and new chairman of the Music Department, announces the appointment of a new associate professor of Music, Stephen Tuttle, who taught at the University before the war, comes here from the University of Virginia. He will teach advanced harmony and a course in the English Virginialists.
