The Massachusetts conspiracy trial of Dirk Jan Struik, suspended Massachusetts Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor of Mathematics, probably will be delayed until next spring because one of those indicted with Struik is fighting extradition from illinois.
Struik was indicted by a county grand jury a year ago this month on charges of conspiring to everthrow the government by force and violence. He denied the charges, but was suspended from M.I.T. until the trial's outcome.
One other was indicted in this state, while Margaret Gilbert, formerly of Cambridge, has appealed to the illinois Supreme Court.
