Dean Watson yesterday cleared up the confusion surrounding next year's Combined Charities drive by reaffirming the University's policy that no solicitor other than those from the Combined Charities would be allowed to visit students' rooms.
The confusion had arisen because the '53 campaign will be the first one that the Student Council has limited to student charities. Since national drives such as the Red Cross and Community Fund will not be supported, many students have been concerned as to whether they would be solicited by these other groups.
"No individual or outside organization is allowed to solicit within the University except the Student Council during its annual drive," Watson said.
