Royal Henley Regattta Lacks Any American Heavy Crews

The Royal Henley Regatta entry list announced Tuesday included no American crews for the main race, the Grand Challenge Cup, which the Crimson won in 1950. University of Pennsylvania 150-pound eight will be back to defend its Thames Challenge Cup, however.

Favored entry in the diamond sculls competition is Mervyn Wood of Australia, the 1948 Henley and Olympic champion.
