Straus North claimed the spoils of its Yard intramural victory last night at a steak dinner held at the Union. Straus took the crown by amassing a total of 593 points.
Though trailing Holworthy by 2 1/2 points entering the last event (the tennis tournament), a win in the doubles and a quarterfinalist in the singles were enough to give Straus the winning margin. Holworthy finished second with 582 1/2 and Stoughton third with 524 1/2.
Following the dinner, Dolph Samborski read the final figures and congratulated the victors. He also commented that this year's Yard Intramurals had drawn the second highest number of players, and more competing teams than ever before.
Boxing coach Henry Lamar then gave an after dinner talk, packed with anecdotes about Harvard athletics past and present.
