Ronald M. Ferry '12, Master of Winthrop House, yesterday named two graduating seniors as joint recipients of the first annual David J. Hanson Award.
Chase N. Peterson of Logan, Utah, and Bruce R. Recker of Englewood, New Jersey, received the awards for their "contributions to undergraduate life in Winhrop House and Harvard College."
The Award was recently established in memory of a member of the House and Class of '52 who died last year. Hanson was a leader of activities at Winthrop.
Peterson was recently elected First Marshal of his class, played on the tennis team, and was on the Student Council. Recker produced "The Mikado," played House football and was on the Council and WHRB.
