Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
All was quiet at the Medical School last night after Tuesday's early morning riot there. Fledgling doctors pelted University police with water bombs and beer cans, but no one was arrested.
Nurses from the nearby Children's and Boston Lying-In Hospital reported loud noises from Vanderbilt Hall, the dormitory, at about midnight. They called Boston police, but officials sent them away when they arrived, saying they were not needed.
Chief Randall of the University force rushed to the scene from Cambridge with a sergeant and three officers. The men dodged missles as they tried to quiet the small crowd. By 2 a.m., most of the 325 students had gone back to their rooms, and the police made the rounds taking names. Randall said these would be banded over to University officials.
Medical School authorities would not indicate what steps they planned to take, but said the whole affair was "pretty peaceful."
