Varsity Golfers Play Tough Amherst Squad In Last Match of '52

Beaten by Dartmouth last Saturday Coach Frank Richart's varsity golf team tees off against a strong Amherst squad at 2 p.m. today at the Dedham Country Club in the last match of the season.

The Crimson today will play without Dusty Burke, who has been first man in every match this season except against Dartmouth. Captain Paul Weissman will play first man tomorrow Weissman shot a 73 in beating his Dartmouth opponent Saturday.

Teeing off in second position will be Bill Timpson. Timpson will be followed by Dave Hedberg as third man. Mitch Rosenholtz as fourth, Jack Brophy as fifth, George Wheeling as sixth, and Bill Bridges as seventh.

Amherst this season has its finest golf team in recent years. The Lord Jeffs finished second in the New England Intercollegiate Championships. The Crimson varsity so far has a record of four wins and three losses this season.
