The Boston Herald yesterday modified its editorial stand on the actions of students and police in last Thursday's Pogo rally. On Sunday, an editorial stated that only the students were to blame and that they should be punished accordingly. But in answer to letters, yesterday's editorial called on Cambridge to investigate the complaints of police mishandling. It also asked that students and police find some way to understand each other to avoid such melees in the future.
