Straus North Beats Thayer North; Hollis Defeats Mass.

Straus North yesterday trounced Thayer North, 23 to 4, in American League softball. Batterymates Wally Bregman, batting in seven runs with three for four, including a home run, and right-hander Marty Adler led the onslaught.

In the National League, Hollis handed. Massachusetts its first defeat of the season, 5 to 3, and Weld North rolled over Straus South, 15 to 6. Despite the loss, Massachusetts holds the league lead with a four and one slate.
