Steel Seats to Go May 19th; Cost Too High, H.A.A. States

Demolition of the steel stands will begin on May 19, the H.A.A. announced yesterday. The stands, which were built in 1929, must be removed because the slight need for seats does not justify the heavy cost of maintenance and repairs.

Even without the steel stands enclosing one end of the stadium, it will still be the fourth largest of the Eastern colleges.
