'Cliffe Council Shows $2000 Surplus; Dues Reduction Considered

Radcliffe's Student Council has a $2000 surplus over and above its essential operating costs, Margaret L. Brown '54, Annex treasurer, announced at a Council meeting earlier this week.

A proposal to reduce the two dollar compulsory student government dues to $1.50 was briefly considered and tabled for discussion at a later date, but the Council approved a proposal to sponsor a poetry reading series in 1951-52.

Several appearances by contemporary poets are planned for the series. There is enough interest in the University to warrant another program of such readings, according to a report by Miss Brown.
