Johnson Leads Varsity Nine With .667; Akillian Hits .444

Varsity first baseman Russ Johnson is leading all local college batsmen with a thunderous .667 average, according to figures released yesterday.

Johnson pounded out six hits in nine at bats--including a record home run against Boston University, in the Crimson's three games. Ben Akillian, Crimson centerfielder, trails with four for nine, for a .444 percentage.

Sophomore Dick Clasby, who divides his time between centerfield and catcher, has three hits in eight appearances for .375. ninth in Boston collegiate ranks.
