Kanter, Trimble Will Help Coach Track Men

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Coach Bill McCurdy will have two assistants to help him through the remainder of the track season, it was announced yesterday. Jerry Kanter '51, former football and track star, and Donald E. Trimble '50, Harvard record holder in the javelin, will take on some of the duties vacated by coach Jaakko Mikkola after his illness.

The appointments are effective immediately. Both of the new coaches have the added advantage of knowing the track men still on the team from previous years.

Meanwhile, the condition of Captain Bill Geick and hurdler Charlie Durakis was still indefinite. They may be out for several meets due to their leg injuries.
