Six thousand dollars with no strings attached has been granted John A. Clardl. Briggs Copeland Assistant Professor of English Composition, by the Ford Foundation.

The fellowship was given by the Foundation's Committee for the Advancement of Education. Holders of the one year grants are free to do anything they want in the year's time.
