Speaker Violates Ban at Michigan

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Arthur McPhaul, executive secretary of the Michigan chapter of the Civil Rights Congress, last Thursday flaunted University of Michigan authorities and spoke on the campus.

McPhaul, one of two speakers recently banned from talking at Michigan, appeared as a speaker at a private dinner party in the Michigan men's Union. The party was booked under a false name, and University authorities are now conducting an investigation of the incident.

The person who booked the party remains unknown, but officials are now questioning some of the thirty people who were known to have been present. The Young Progressives, McPhaul's original sponsors, deny any connection with last night's speech.
