In a furious game marked by good goal-tending-and a scoreless sudden-death overtime, Open University's and Closed College's hockey teams battled to a 2 to 2 tie last night at the Arena.
Open, made up of players from Leverett, Lowell, and Winthrop scored in the first and second periods on goals by Will Kurth and Hank McCusker, but Closed, after scoring first when Terry King converted a Neil Howland pass, waited until the third period to even the score. This time Bob Whoriskey slapped in a pass from Mitch Rosenholt. The Closed team was made up of Eliot, Dudley, Kirkland, and Dunster men.
