Kremlin attempts to rid Russia of all capitalistic taints have shifted into high gear with an odd switch in the terminology of the ancient game of chess, Radio Free Europe reported yesterday.

Soviet leaders suggest that the names of King and Queen, traditional monarchical warmongers on the board, be replaced by more "socialistic" titles, such as "Stakhanovite," the Soviet term for high-production workers.
