Mello, Twitchell Lead Entries in Southern Relays

Seven members of the track team will fly to Birmingham, Alabama Tuesday to compete in the Annual Southern Relays to be held on April 4 and 5. Representing the Crimson will be a seven-man team entered in two relays and three sprints.

Peter Dow, who as a freshman made the Harvard-Yale team which competed in England last summer, will compete in the 100-yard dash. Robert Twitchell is entered in the high hurdles, and Bob Mello in the pole vault.

The sprint relay team is made up of Ronald Berman, Twitchell, Dow, and Ed Grutzner. Berman and Grutzner will also run with Phil Meyors and John Packard in the mile relay. Twitchell, Mello, Berman, and Grutzner were also members of the team that travelled to England.
