Cambridge University's squash team will probably give the Crimson a tough battle at Hemenway Gym this afternoon, even though it's unfamiliar with the faster U.S. ball and larger courts.
The six-man squad docked at New York last Friday to start a two-week tour of universities in the East and in Canada, arranged by Edwin A. Bigelow of the International Squash Rackets Association. Cambridge dropped its first match, at New Haven Saturday, 6 to 0, to Yale's Intercollegiate Squash League champions.
The Crimson team which will face them today hasn't had a formal practice for two weeks, however. Charlie Ufford, National Intercollegiate singles champion, is ready to go at number one, while 1951-52 Captain Jim Bacon will take the number two slot. Captain-elect Dave Watts, Alty Flagg, and Dave Symmes will fill the other three positions.
The rest of the tour, Cambridge's first since 1938, includes matches with Hartford, Princeton, Army, Philadelphia, Navy, and a Canadian team. The team returns to England on the Queen Elizabeth, sailing Tuesday, April 8.
