G. Wallace Woodworth, professor of Music, will lead 50 members of the Glee Club on a nine-day concert tour through the Midwest during spring vacation.
Leaving Cambridge Thursday, March 27, the Glee Club will perform Friday night with the Buffalo Philharmonic under the direction of William Steinberg. Oscar Henry 2G will sing as soloist in the concert.
The club will appear twice Saturday in Detroit in afternoon and evening concerts. The night performance will be an effort to raise scholarship funds under the sponsorship of the Harvard Club of Michigan.
Successive appearances Tuesday, April 1, at the University of Chicago, and Wednesday at the Toledo Museum of Art, will conclude the formal engagements. After informal concerts in either Cleveland or Erie on Thursday, the singers will return to Cambridge.
