Captain Bob Marsolais led the Yardlings in their first triumph over collegiate opposition with two goals and a pair of assists. Wingmen Frank Mahoney, Ned Bliss, and Pat Pratt and defenseman Ed Mrkonich each netted the disk once.

This too, was a rough game: 16 penalties were called. Yardling Scott Coolidge and Brown's Ralph Palcho were both ejected from the game for fighting. Carl Hathaway, Crimson goalie, made only nine saves, so tight was the Yardling defense. Brown netminder Dave Halborsen, on the other hand, had to block 24 drives.
