A heavily favored Winthrop hockey team was nearly upset by a hard fighting Lowell squad, but went on to win, 3 to 2. Frits Drill sparked the Winthrop offense by scoring two goals and playing a standout game on offense. The other tally for Winthrop was by Louis Nichols with White and Doan doing the scoring for Lowell.

Kirkland increased its undefeated streak in 'B' League basgetball to 11 games by defeating Lowell, 38 to 28. Glenn Bair and Neil Borts sparked the Deacons by scoring 10 points each.

In other 'B' League contests, a strong Winthrop team beat Dudley, 30 to 20, and Eliot lost to Adams, 28 to 17.

Because of a conflict with the varsity basketball game, the House swimming meet was canceled. It will be held at some future date.

'B' and 'C' League squash matches were played as Winthrop edged Leverett, 3 to 2, in the 'B' League and lost by the same score in the C League. Kirkland won both its matches; in the 'B' League 4 to 1, and 'C' League, 3 to 2.
