Fencers Place Last in N.Y.; Army Wins Pentagonal Meet

Illness caused the varsity fencing team to end up in last place at the eighth annual Pentagonal fencing championships at the New York Athletic Club Saturday.

Army, which the Crimson beat two weeks ago, won the championship, followed by Navy, Princeton, Yale, and Harvard, in that order. The varsity finished second behind Navy in the sabre division but fell down in the foil and epee to wind up last. Many of the bouts, however, were decided by one touch.
