Princeton Editorial Denounces Spring Football Practice Drop

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In an editorial entitled "Ivy League Stupid to Cut Spring Football," the Daily Princeton said yesterday that "out of season practice aided amateurism," and called the abolition of spring practice "little more than an attempt to gild the Ivy League's amateur lily."

The editorial said that spring practice helped younger, more inexperienced players to develop into seasoned performers.

The editorial was in answer to the eight-point program adopted by the eight schools comprising the Ivy League.
