Squash Varsity, '55 Beat Williams, Exeter; Brown Wrestlers Defeat Varsity, Yardlings

Jack Barnaby's undefeated varsity squash team tightened its grip on first place in the Intercollegiate Squash Racquets League by winning 7 to 2, at Williams last Saturday. The freshmen also won, 3 to 2, at Exeter to end a two-game losing streak.

Crimson varsity winners included Charlie Ufford, Dave Watts, Captain Jim Bacon, Wis Wood, Dave Symmes, Charlie Elliott, and Ted Rose.

Guy Paschal, Bill Wister, and Bob Brown were the Yardling winners.

A powerful Brown squad handed Coach Bob Pickett's varsity wrestlers their first defeat, a 21 to 11 setback, Saturday at the Blockhouse. In the preliminaries, the Bruin freshmen topped Howie Houston's Yardlings, 13 to 16.

Captain Johnny Lee at 123, Tony Caimi at 167, and heavyweight George Bates were the only wrestlers who won their varsity matches. Lee decisioned, Caimi pinned at 6:53, and Bates decisioned an opponent who outweighed him by 25 pounds.
