Oxford's Ruggers will challenge the Crimson at the Bermuda Rugby Week this Easter vacation, Coach-president Tom Calhoun announced at a Rugby Club meeting in Lowell House last night. Other Bermuda opponents are to be Yale, Dartmouth, and the island's athletic association.
The English team's visit will be the first trans-Atlantic rugby series since 1939, when a British "International" squad toured the Eastern seaboard and defeated Harvard in a big stadium game.
Co-coach Brad Lundborg described the present Oxford team as "one of the top three in the world," and expected a "pretty tough fight" for the varsity.
