Before they began the disastrous road trip, the Yardlings had been undefeated in interseholastic play. Sole Crimson winner against the Ephs was number one man Guy Paschal. The Yard players could take some solace in the fact that they forced their opponents to five games in five of their losses and went to four games in two others before succumbing.
