Crimson Eleven May Start '54 Season With U. of Mass.

The University of Massachusetts will be the opening team on the 1954 Crimson football schedule, it was reported yesterday.

Two Boston columnists said yesterday that the game had been scheduled, and indicated that University of Massachusetts officials had unofficially confirmed the reports. College officials would neither confirm nor deny the reports.

Harvard has played UMass twice before, winning 7 to 0 in 1915 and 47 to 0 in 1916.
