Charlie Ufford lost his match at number one to Roger Bakey, a man whom Ufford beat last year in the national championships. The scores were 1b to 12, 17 to 15, and 15 to 14.
Second man Dave Watts lost to National Veterans Champion Harold Kaese, 1/1 to 11, 15 to 18 and 15 to 11. Hadden Tomes was beaten by George Pendergrast 1/1 to b, 1b to 7, and 15 t 11. Charlie Elliott lost to Neil Powell 1b to b, 1b to 7, and 1b to 13.
