Captain Bill Cleary and his wing-mate Joe Crehore combined for more than enough goals to sink a rough B.C. freshman hockey team yesterday. The score was 8 to 3 for the Yardlings.
Cleary, who was elected captain just before he stepped onto the ice, scored twice and assisted twice. Crehore was right behind him with three goals. And Art Noyes, third man on the line, had two assists.
The B.C. boys played it rough all afternoon, collecting seven penalties, but to no avail. Clarkson Potter scored on a pass from Winkie Childs early in the first period, and the Yardlings were never headed.
