Leverett's football squad took a clear lead of second place in the House league by defeating Adams yesterday 13 to 7. Both its touchdowns were scored in the last three minutes. Eliot continued to roll over all opposition, blanking Kirkland, 19 to 0.

The Gold Coasters, fighting to stay in the league race, led the Bunnies, 7 to 0, late in the fourth period on the strength of a third-period touchdown on a ten-yard pass from Jack King to Joe Donald. With three minutes left, Bucky O'Connor of Leverett tossed a 30-yard pass to Dan Tyler in the end zone. John Stokes converted to tie the game.

Adams took the ball on the kickoff, but Leverett gained possession on the Gold Coast 20 when Stokes recovered a fumble. Three passes failed, but O'Connor connected with John Bagdasarian on the last play from scrimmage for the winning touchdown.

Leverett can now take the title by beating Eliot next Friday.

The Elephants remained undefeated, untied, and unscored-upon with yesterday's victory. Hank Greenberg made one touchdown for Eliot on a 151yard end run. Steve Kurzman passed to Bill Gray and Rogers threw to White for the others.

In Tuesday's games Dudley trimmed Winthrop 12 to 6 and Dunster breezed past Lowell 13 to 2. George Donovan caught a 13-yard pass from Bill Allison and went ten yards into the end zone for the first Dragon touchdown. Jim Murray scored the other after taking a ten-yard Murray pass and racing 50 yards up the sidelines.

The Dunster scores against Lowell came on an eight-yard run by Jeff Ball in the second period and a 25-yard pass from Jack Brophy to Ron Peyton in the fourth period.

In touch football games yesterday Kirkland smothered Eliot, 44 to 0, and Leverett swamped Adams, 40 to 18. Lowell moved into first place in the soccer league with a 1 to 0 win over Dunster.

On Tuesday Dunster whipped Lowell, 46 to 2, in touch football and Leverett topped Adams 1 to 0 in soccer.
