5 Ivy Leaguers Noted On Colliers' All Team; Clasby Not mentioned

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first of the All-America teams hit the stands today in Collier's magazine, minus even a mention of Crimson tail-back and Ivy offensive leader Dick Clasby.

Collier's ten-man board of selection, which included Coaches Lloyd Jordan, Tuss McLaughry of Dartmouth, and Lou Little of Columbia, picked four players from the Ivy League however, in its list of "specialists."

They were line-backer Joe Fortunate of Yale, his fellow Eli Ed Woodsum as offensive end, Columbia's Mitch Price as a passer, and Princeton's Frank McPhee as pass receiver. Harry Agganis of Boston University was the only local to receive mention.

Only Ivy player to make-the first team was end Ed Bell of Pennsylvania, along with such standouts as tackle Dick Modzelewski and quarterback Jack Scarbath of Maryland.
