Jack Barnaby's B squash team easily won the season's opener against the Union Boat Club, taking four out of five matches in the meet held at Hemingway Gymnasium yesterday.
John Ward playing in the number one position, lost his match 3 to 1. Want forced his opponent into extra points in the first game, but lost 18 to 14. After dropping the second game 15 to 8, he took the third easily 15 to 4, but lost the final till 15 to 11.
Sophemore Guy Passable, number two man, won his match 3 to 1 with acores of 15 to 3, 12 to 15, 13 to 17, and 15 to 12. Johnny Rauth, third man for the 11 team had to play five games before taking his man 3 to 2. Edward Rose fourth man also had to go five games to win. Fifth man Steve Sonnabend won his match 3 to 1.
