With the final tabulations for upperclassman collections almost complete, the totals for the Charities Drive yesterday rose to $17,483.43. This figure is still shy of the goal by a little over $4,500. Full solicitation of freshmen is not complete and the committee still expects several thousand dollars. Yard canvassing will continue all week.
Lowell led the contributions with $2,507.86. Bellboys have traditionally, given the largest chunk of the funds collected. Eliot House followed by a narrow margin, donating $2,433.85. Winthrop was third with $1,958.50, and Leverett fourth with $1,814.50.
